Sourcing & costs · Practical guide
A better brief makes a more useful quote.
A useful quote starts with a clear scope. Give enough detail to compare suitable products and delivery options, without turning the first conversation into a lengthy specification exercise.
Start with the product, not just its name.
A product link or a basic description is enough to start a conversation. To compare suppliers meaningfully, add the characteristics that matter to your product: materials, dimensions, construction, intended use and any specific finish or packaging requirements.
If an applicable sample or reference already exists, explain what should match and what can change. The aim is to compare suitable options against the same requirements, rather than treating similar-looking products as identical.
- What must stay the same
- The specifications or sample details that affect the product your customer expects.
- What you want to improve
- The cost, material, finish, packaging or supply arrangement you want the team to review.
Give the quantity a clear meaning.
Daily customer orders, a one-time product purchase and stock held in China describe different requirements. Include the unit with your estimate so sourcing and preparation can be considered in the right context.
Ranges and estimates are welcome. If you have multiple products, explain the mix and which items matter most to the initial discussion. These details help assess purchasing and fulfillment options; they do not establish a minimum order requirement.
- Orders per day
- Use when discussing ongoing customer-order preparation and dispatch.
- Units per purchase
- Use for a product buy, replenishment batch or development production run.
- Units to hold
- Use when discussing inventory receiving, storage and future outbound needs.
Describe the work that is already in place.
Tell us the main selling market or destination, your e-commerce platform and any existing supplier, inventory or packaging arrangements. This helps separate the support you need from work that should remain with your current setup.
You do not need to use every service. For example, already-sourced stock can need receiving and fulfillment, while a new product can need sample review before a purchasing decision.
- Where the goods are now and who will coordinate any handover.
- Whether orders are already coming in and how order information is currently shared.
- Any confirmed product samples, packaging instructions or recurring problems to address.
Compare the same scope, not just the headline price.
A sourcing and delivery comparison should reflect equivalent product specifications, quantity, packaging and destination. ZanFulfill compares suitable suppliers, negotiates purchasing terms and assesses shipping options around those requirements.
The quote confirms applicable product, preparation, packaging and transport costs. Check what is included and which requirements still need confirmation before proceeding. Competitive purchasing is part of the work; a lower total than every existing supplier is not assumed.
Start with a clear quote request.
The Get a Quote form keeps product details and your Store / Business URL separate. A product link or basic description is accepted; the store URL and additional notes are optional. Phone / WhatsApp is required, with your country code.
Add useful context to the product-details or notes fields. No separate account, store connection, supplier-invoice upload or extra questionnaire is needed.
The reference standard for the first human reply is within 24 hours. The team may clarify details before preparing a final quote, especially for complex sourcing or custom projects.
